och just det har ar en liten text om mitt thanksgiving firande som jag helt glomde av att posta!

August, September, time went by fast, just like the green trees, and yellow fields flies by outside the car window, driving on the highway approaching the little town Skara in Sweden. The sky, light blue with Autumn leafs in all different colors flying with the chilly breeze, had brought the fourth Thursday in November here, and I, I was about to celebrate my first Thanksgiving.
The piecrusts for the pumpkin and chocolate pies, were in the refrigerator, where there was hardly any room because of all the other food for thanksgiving. But, I have heard that that is what thanksgiving is all about; food, family, food, friends, and once again food, and I was soon about to confirm that.
My family hosted and had invited Ms. Shonas, the Makkikali family and the Saxes; ten children and eight adults total, and a lot of food to make all of our stomachs happy. Laurie could clearly hear laughter and chatting coming from the basement, from the kitchen, where she was preparing the Turkey. Downstairs it was even lauder and there were a lot of games going on; Football on the TV by the bar, air hockey between Shane and Samuel, table tennis between me, standing on my knees being on the same height as little Lucas and we could here the crowd cheer when Aaron scored in FIFA13.
We were all so focused, we had so much fun and it was impossible to get our attention, if it wasn’t for the only thing that could get our minds on other things; cooking fumes that reached our noses, I think we could have spend all day and all night down there. But food, there’s nothing you can do about that, and especially not now, when it’s thanksgivings food we’re talking about.
The kitchen island was covered with food, the big turkey, mashed potatoes with bacon sprinkled over, gravy, Justine’s favorite; stuffing, golden-orange sweet potatoes, a big salad, bread, cooked carrots with a flavor of raspberries. We all horded around the island, if it would have been a desert island, there would have been nothing to bring, everything you could possible wish for, was already there.  But I’m glad it was a kitchen island, so I could enjoy the feast with all my friends.
It almost felt like I finally was at Hogwarts, in the great hall, enjoying the feast. There was so much food, we ate until we all had food coma, and I’m telling you, I’m gad I wore a dress, there was no pants prohibit my stomach from expanding a lot.
After dinner, the kids literally rolled down the stairs to the couch and it was time for the game Werewolf, very similar to mafia. It was hard to stay awake when the village had to go to sleep.
I really enjoyed my first Thanksgiving and hope that this wasn't my last. Now when this holiday is over, people has already started to decorate their houses with Christmas lights. America loves holidays, and I’m so excited to be here and am really looking forward to Christmas!
